HistoryLabs (historylabs.dev) is dedicated to open-source technical education, digital preservation research, and data sovereignty. We believe privacy is a fundamental prerequisite for security.

1. Zero Tracking & Zero Telemetry

  • No Cookies: This website does not use tracking cookies, session identifiers, or advertising markers.
  • No Analytics: We do not embed Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party monitoring scripts.
  • No External CDNs: All CSS, JavaScript, and font assets are served locally from our Nginx instance. No third-party servers receive your IP address when you load pages.

2. Server Logging Configuration

This site operates under strict zero-log or minimal-retention configurations:

  • Server access logs are completely disabled or routed directly to volatile memory (tmpfs) and purged automatically.
  • No IP addresses, User-Agent strings, or referral headers are permanently recorded.

This site contains outbound links to open-source repositories and research papers. We have no control over external site privacy practices and encourage reviewing their respective policies when navigating away from historylabs.dev.
